Advanced bookmarks
Краткое описание
This plugin upgrades the standard bookmarks in DataLife Engine and turns them into a full-fledged system for saving news by categories. Now the user does not just “add to bookmarks” but chooses a status/section, and the entire bookmarks list becomes structured and convenient.

What it looks like on the site
On the news page, a neat block of quick actions appears in the form of “pills”:
“Watching / Watched / Will Watch / Dropped”
Tapping instantly changes the status — without reloading, via AJAX. The active button is visually highlighted (visible by the states in the examples).
In the bookmarks section, top navigation by sections is added (tabs):
Favorites / Watching / Watched / Will Watch / Dropped
Each section has a counter, and switching happens instantly, loading the content inside the page. If the category is empty, a neat message is shown: “there are no bookmarks in this category yet”.
Main features
The user can sort saved news by meaning and status:
- Watching — what is in progress
- Watched — already watched
- Will Watch — planned
- Dropped — postponed/not relevant
- Plus a separate “Favorites” section.
Fully AJAX logic
- Adding/moving news between sections without refreshing the page
- Instant updating of the active button on the material page
- Fast switching of tabs in “My Bookmarks” with loading of the required list
Convenient navigation in “Bookmarks”
- Beautiful tabs by section
- Counters next to the name of each tab
- Clear empty-state if there is nothing in the section
Why the module is useful
Bookmarks turn into an organized list, not a “dump of saved items”.
The user returns more often: there is a familiar scenario of “added → section → returned”.
Convenient for sites with content “for later”: articles, reviews, movies/anime, instructions, collections, etc.
